Fire industry leader, and fire equipment distributor, Feld Fire, has been awarded the Scott ‘5-Star Status’ award. The certification, which is only awarded to distributors who continually meet Scott Safety’s standards and requirements, was presented to the Iowa-based company at the 2016 FDIC (Fire Department Instructors Conference) expo in Indianapolis, IN for their exceptional service and dedication to the industry.
Originally founded in 1945 by Ed M. Feld, Ed M. Feld Equipment Co., Inc. DBA Feld Fire, has been a trusted industry source for turnout gear, firefighting equipment, and fire apparatus for over 70 years. The company has continued to provide a high level of customer service for all equipment and products they sell and have been a Scott Safety dealer for over 40 years. The Feld Fire service team trains each customer on their newly purchased equipment, including SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus), compressors, thermal imagers, gas detection devices, and more.
When Feld Fire was awarded the certification in April 2016, they were only one of seven distributors in the world to achieve this level of recognition. “We’re proud to partner with Scott Safety and provide the high level of service that their customers have come to expect,” said company president John Feld. “Our team of certified technicians is very dedicated to our customers and our industry, and this achievement is a testament to that loyalty.”
The 5-star certification process is part of an ongoing relationship where full product line distributors need to remain in compliance with Scott Safety’s requirements and often, Feld exceeds Scott’s requirements for service technicians, inventory, and mobile service based on the Scott Safety annual audit.
Employing nearly 50 individuals, Feld Fire operates out of their headquarters in Carroll, IA, as well as another location in Grain Valley, MO. Feld service and sales reps cover seven states including Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas.
