One of the most challenging and rewarding career paths one can follow is to enter the field of first responders. One of the most challenging positions within that field is fire fighting. This is a unique career that is suitable for only those who have a true need and desire to protect and serve; even under the most difficult and dangerous of situations.

Fire fighting encompasses not only battling fires of all types, from chemical fires to wildfires, but also includes many other life saving measures and maneuvers that are all part of fire fighting. This makes the role of a fire fighter one that is ever changing and always important.

Fire fighting goes above and beyond fire calls to battle blazes; as fire fighting also is imperative to helping assist with medical issues, vehicular accidents where extraction is required, major disasters to help with recovery efforts and even chemical spills that could become combustible at any moment. This all adds up to the reasons why those who enter in to fire fighting have to be the best suited for the position.

As a fire fighter will be one who understands that fire fighting is a never ending job as disasters, fires, emergencies and accidents happen all throughout each and every day and night. This makes fire fighting an around the clock role that is necessary for safety and well being of the community that the fire fighting department serves to protect. The benefits are those that bring satisfaction and pride to those who serve roles in fire fighting.
